David Graham Pittman  David and his family, Teresa Smith and 13-year-old Annelyse, have lived in West Peoria since 2003. David is a registered nurse in the St. Francis Hospital’s Cardiovascular ICU. After spending 13 months on a working vacation in Honolulu, David and his family returned to West Peoria in July 2006 with the goal of helping to keep West Peoria a safe, friendly place to live. David’s many experiences will help him serve this community. From 1996 to 2000, David served on the Peoria Park Board representing West Peoria, central Peoria, and the Averyville area. Active in local environmental groups, David served as the past president of the Western Avenue Greenway Project (2004) and Lakeview Wilds, Inc., (1998–2004). Since 1991, David has spent some of his free time restoring the natural areas of St Mary’s Cemetery on Sterling Avenue. David is interested in West Peoria’s economic development issues, especially efforts to increase the number of owner-occupied homes in this community.  Contact David at president@westpeoriaresidents.org. Lynn Dempsey  Lynn, born and raised in West Peoria, graduated from St. Marks Grade School, the Academy of Our Lady, and Bradley University. After working for Caterpillar until 1983, Lynn worked for five years in southern California as the controller and chief financial officer of several small start-up companies. In 1988, she turned to management consulting and is currently self-employed in that industry. After spending 12 years in Atlanta, Georgia, Lynn returned to West Peoria in 2003 after her father’s death.  After 18 years of traveling the United States and several other countries in connection with her employment, Lynn believes that West Peoria and the surrounding central Illinois region has great potential to retain and attract new residents and businesses. She is particularly interested in West Peoria’s economic development and in partnering with neighboring communities to realize this potential.   Lynn is a member of the City of West Peoria Plan Commission and Economic Development Commission.  Contact Lynn at mailto:vicepresident@westpeoriaresidents.org. Katrina Griffin Katrina has joined the WPRA board of directors.  Katrina purchased her house in West Peoria in 2007.  She liked West Peoria because it is affordable, close to St. Marks, and has that small community feel, but is still close to the hustle and bustle of Peoria.  She likes to live around people she knows, and at the time she purchased her home, she had several friends living in West Peoria.  Katrina enjoys eating out with friends at restaurants nearby such as Aachi's, Thanh Linh and Happy Fish.  She also enjoys being active in the community.  Katrina is very involved with several youth soccer teams in the area and greatly enjoys the sport.  She is a big Cowboys fan.  Although they had a rough season this year, she looks forward to watching the Super Bowl in their new stadium.  When she's not traveling for work, she enjoys taking the dog and kids on walks or bike rides around West Peoria.  They especially enjoy activities at the Franciscan Recreation Center.  Contact Katrina at vp2@westpeoriaresidents.org. Maggie Moore Maggie and her husband Harry have lived in West Peoria for over 40 years. During this time Maggie has continuously been involved in community and civic activities. For the last six years, Maggie has served as treasurer for the West Peoria Residents' Association. She is also in charge of advertising for the West Peoria News. With the help of Lt.
