BRIAN GANSON, West Peoria’s Ward 3 Alderman, has lived in West Peoria at 2107 W. Barker Avenue for sixteen years with his wife of seventeen years. The Gansons have a nine-year-old son Gus.
A Peoria High School graduate, Brian chose to raise his family in this community and, after moving here, decided to serve this community as an alderman.
Brian remembers that he had not even moved into his new house when neighbors knocked on his door to offer help with some minor repair jobs. Impressed by the generosity of these West Peorians, Brian vowed to have a positive impact in this community and to give back what the community has given to him.
A supervisor at Komatsu, Brian—in his leisure time—enjoys playing golf in the summer, coaching his son’s Little League team, and just spending time with his family. He is also a fourth degree member of the Spalding Council Knights of Columbus.
