West Peoria Residents' Association

   A retirement celebration for George Graves, Jr., and his wife Martha will be held on Saturday, May 24, from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at the United Disciples Christian Church at 2018 W. Kellogg in West Peoria.  George will retire as Manual High School's band director, a position he has held since 1977.  Martha, a Manual graduate, will retire from Glen Oak Primary School, having taught in District #150 for 33 years.  George's and Martha's friends, colleagues, students (past and present) and their parents are cordially invited to show their appreciation for the exemplary careers of these two people who have touched the lives of many Peoria and West Peoria students.  George, Martha, and other family members have always been strong supporters of West Peoria's Fourth of July Parade (always on the sidelines even when the band was not performing).  Please call Dianne Dow @ 676-1370 for further information, if needed.
