Nick’s One Stop Computer Shop    West Peoria welcomes a new business to this community.  Nick’s One Stop Computer Shop—located at 2319 W. Rohmann Avenue, in the shopping area next to Haddad’s Market—is owned by West Peoria residents, Nick and Amber Gavin.  The Gavins live down the street on Rohmann with their three pre-school aged children.    Customers can bring their computers to this shop for maintenance, repair or upgrades and even for custom building a computer.  Also, Nick does make house calls.  Advice is free at Nick’s, and no question is ever too simple to ask.  Nick offers help with home networking and with fixing all the software problems that can drive computer owners crazy.  A 30-day warranty is offered on all repair jobs, and a service package is offered if a system is custom built.    At present, Nick’s Shop sells computers only over the Internet, but will be selling retail in the near future.  Nick offers advice to anyone thinking of buying a new computer.    The store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and other hours by appointment.   Amber is the office manager and Nick is the computer doctor.  For help, call the store at 740-1314 or Nick’s cell phone at 740-1316. Patrick 411 Inc.   Patrick 411 Inc., a business to serve West Peoria and surrounding communities, specializes in telecommunications and networking.    Patrick Jeschke, a West Peoria resident for 37 years, established this business in February 2008.  Patrick 411 Inc. handles requests as quickly as possible and offers 24/7 remote and on-site technical support without any overtime or time and a half rate increases for nights and weekends.  Patrick’s business recently added PC upgrade and repair services, including an unlimited performance tune-up plus virus and spy-ware removal for a year for one flat fee.  Contact Patrick at his special e-mail address just for West Peoria at WestPeoria@Patrick411.com or call 309-673-1432.    Serving West Peoria has become a lifelong habit for Patrick.  Since his father was a member of the West Peoria Fire Department, Patrick became a cadet when he was fourteen.  After moving back to Peoria with his own family in 1972, Patrick rejoined the fire department to continue training to obtain the rank of Firefighter First Class.  He currently is the Vice President of the West Peoria Fire Department.  Patrick is also a member of the Central Illinois Fire Investigators Association and Peoria County Emergency Management Agency.     Recently, Patrick has joined his mother and step–father as a member of both the West Peoria Lions Club and the West Peoria Residents’ Association.  Patrick looks forward to visiting with other residents at West Peoria meetings and events.
