The 2008 winners of West Peoria’s Holiday Light Contest by category were:
- Simplicity – 2516 Kenwood
- Vegas Style – 2110 W. Dakota
- Religious Theme – 2214 Kellogg
- Holiday Theme – 2126 Laura
- Overall Judges’ Favorite – 2114 Kellogg
The following homes received Special Mention for their decorations:
- 2411 N. Rhodora
- 2105 W. Sherman
- 1917 W. Callender
- 1922 W. Callender
The gifts to each winner were a plate of holiday cookies and a gift certificate to Haddad’s Market (donated by Haddad’s) and a large gift basket filled with assorted first aid and other pharmaceutical items donated by Pharmax Pharmacy (formerly the Medicine Shoppe).
The contest committee wishes to congratulate the winners and to thank all those who decorated their homes for the holidays. These efforts that brightened West Peoria with holiday lights and decorations filled passers-by with the festive spirit of the holidays. The committee also wishes to thank the following judges for this year’s contest:
