Clonmel Ireland Band to March in West Peoria Fourth of July Parade
Mayor Jim Dillon is pleased to announce that the Town of Clonmel Band from Ireland will be marching in the 2009 West Peoria Fourth of July Parade. Clonmel is a sister city to the city of Peoria.
The Clonmel Band will also hold a concert on July 3, 2009, at Peoria’s July Fourth Fireworks to be held at Glen Oak Park Pavilion.
A Peoria organization, Friends of Clonmel, is requesting the help of host families to provide housing for 100-150 Clonmel Band members and those accompanying them on the trip.
