Jamboree Run Returns
After a two-year hiatus, the Jamboree Run will return in June 2008. Volunteers -- needed now to help coordinate and organize this event -- should call Krystiana Bronny at City Hall, 674-1993. The tenth Annual Jamboree Run was held in 2005. This traditionally 4-mile race was added in 1994 as a morning activity to be held on the day of the West Peoria Boy Scout Jamboree, an event begun in the 1980s. This advance notice should give runners enough time to get in shape to participate in this event.
