West Peoria Residents' Association

The Heading Avenue Franciscans are currently selling their 2008 Rolan Johnson Christmas ornament.  This year’s ornament is titled “Going to Bethlehem” and sells for $31.  In West Peoria the ornament is available at Geier Florist and Immaculate Conception Convent, both located on Heading Avenue. A limited number of ornaments from 1998-2007 are also available for sale.  For more information, contact Rhonda or Sharie at 674-2005. Founded in 1891, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Immaculate Conception have called West Peoria their home since 1912.  Today they serve the Dioceses of Peoria and Springfield in ministries that include but are not limited to prayer, care of the elderly (St. Joseph’s HomeCare, Peoria and St. Joseph’s Home of Springfield), campus ministry, adult literacy, pastoral care, education, spirituality, and diocesan offices.
