New Business Mike's Home Laundry Service
West Peoria welcomes another new business. Mike’s Home Laundry Service—located at 2018 W. Clarke Avenue—is owned and operated by West Peoria resident, Mike Haller. Mike’s offers a unique service to those who do not want to waste valuable time sitting in a Laundromat or even doing their laundry at home. Customers can drop off their laundry, or Mike’s offers free pick-up and delivery— within the West Peoria vicinity—of regular household laundry and returns it neatly folded or hung on hangers. At Mike’s, laundry is cleaned with soft water and is machine dried or line dried in a smoke free environment. Ironing and other special handling is available for an additional fee. Mike’s interest in laundry equipment began when he was two years old. Recently, he started collecting vintage or unique laundry machines and dishwashers dating as far back as the mid-1930’s. His home has become a miniature museum to display his growing collection, now numbering 29 machines—some of which are used in his laundry service.
