United Disciples Christian Church
The West Peoria City Council voted to accept the United Disciples Christian Church’s offer to sell the building to the city for a nominal fee. The transfer of ownership will take place in August. Also, the city has agreed to purchase all of the church’s kitchen equipment. The city hired a local architect, Adam Lontai, to determine the feasibility of relocating West Peoria City Hall to this building at 2018 W. Kellogg Avenue. On June 9, Lontai presented his findings and suggestions to the WP City Council. Relocating city hall to this building is just one of several options for the building’s use that is being considered by the building committee.
