West Peoria Residents' Association

The 2009 Grand Tour has been cancelled.  According to the Grand Tour Committee chairperson, an adequate number of homes were not signed up prior to publicity deadlines.  Also, the committee feels that—due to the current economic climate—it would be appropriate to give the generous florists and other sponsors a break from donating their time and resources this year. However, the 2010 Grand Tour is scheduled for May 16, 2010.  To be successful, the 2010 tour will need the help of neighborhood associations in encouraging residents both to volunteer their homes for the tour and to attend the tour.  Ticket sales provide funds to help support neighborhood projects. The West Peoria Residents’ Association has benefited by receiving many grants from these funds provided by profits from the Grand Tour during its twenty-five-year history.  The WPRA, which has used these funds to benefit our community, would like to encourage all residents to support the 2010 tour.
