Major Landes
Mr. Major Landes of 2209 W. Sherman served in the Army Air Corps during World War 11 . ( Major is his first name - not his rank.) He was on a B-24 and flew on 41 bombing missions in the South Pacific. Mr. Landes' wife, Ruth, has lived in West Peoria all of her life. When Mr. and Mrs. Landes married 65 years ago, they took up residence in West Peoria and remain here today.
