The primary function of the WPRA's West Peoria Websiteand Facebook page is to inform residents of the activities of the city's governmental agencies and officials, its committees, its organizations, and its businesses. Besides giving up-to-date reports of activities, the website also serves as a record of the people and events that have shaped our community's history.
The Website and Facebook staff works in conjunction with the West Peoria News committee, always welcoming suggestions for articles and stories. We are especially interested in receiving ideas and/or new writers to provide us with stories relating to West Peoria history. If there are any West Peoria activities or organizations that are not represented in the West Peoria News or Website, please inform the webmaster at vp1@westpeoriaresidents.org.
The WP News, Website and Facebook staff appreciates all the help received from individuals (committee members, etc.) who actually serve as our reporters. To make this task easier, our "reporters" can choose to give the WP News staff the essential information (the "who, what, when, where, how, or why" facts). The staff will then write the articles. Those who prefer to write their own articles are, of course, free to do so.
Although space is limited, any suggestions for future articles are welcome.
